Report Details Tab Overview

Understanding the report writing section of an appraisal.

Beginner4 min readUpdated 2024-12-06

You sit down to write the report and stare at a blank Word document. Where does the loss description go? Did you already cover the carrier scope in the appraisal proceedings section? Two hours later you have something written, but you are not sure it covers everything an umpire or reviewing attorney would expect to see.

The Report Details tab is a structured workspace for the report. Each section has its own purpose, and everything you write feeds directly into the generated PDF. You stop guessing what belongs where, you never miss a section, and the content carries through to every template that references it.

This article is the overview. Read it once to learn the section map, then jump to the individual section articles for writing guidance.
