Workflow Automation Overview

An overview of all automation capabilities in AwardLettr and where to find them.

Why this matters

It is Friday at 4:30 and you realize you forgot to send the weekly update to the adjuster on three different files. You forgot to log the hour you spent on the report writeup yesterday. The CRM record for the new claim that came in this morning still has not been created. None of this is hard work. It is just work that is easy to forget when you are juggling fifteen open cases.

Workflow automations exist to take that mental load off your plate. You set the rule once, and the app handles the repeating piece every time the trigger fires. The time gets logged, the email goes out, the CRM gets updated, and you never had to remember any of it.

This overview shows you every automation type in one place so you can decide what to wire up first. Most appraisers start with billing automation (you stop losing billable hours) and status update automations (you stop fielding "any update?" emails).

AwardLettr includes a suite of automation tools that eliminate repetitive manual work. Instead of remembering to log time, send status updates, or trigger external systems, you configure rules once and let the app handle it.

Most workflow automations live at Account Settings > Workflow. This is your central dashboard for setting up, editing, and reviewing all your automation rules.

Tag AutomationsAuto-apply tags when status changesAccount Settings > Workflow > Tag Automations

Getting the Most Out of Automations

  • Start with billing automation to ensure no time goes unlogged
  • Add status update automations to keep adjusters informed without manual effort
  • Use tag webhooks to connect AwardLettr to your CRM or other external tools
  • Combine automations - a status change can auto-apply a tag, which fires a webhook

Compound Automations

Tag automations and tag webhooks work together. Set a tag automation to apply a tag on a status change, then configure a webhook on that tag. One status change can trigger an entire downstream workflow in an external system.
