Creating a New Appraisal
Detailed guide to creating appraisal cases with all available options.
Every appraisal you handle has the same anatomy. An insured, a claim, a carrier, a property, two appraisers, sometimes an umpire. The new-appraisal form is the place where you tell AwardLettr who is who on this case so it can route the right communications and fill in the right document fields automatically.
Cases you set up well at intake run themselves later. Cases you set up sloppily have you fixing party names on documents and chasing missing contact info two weeks into negotiations. The difference is a couple extra minutes at the start.
This guide goes deeper than the quick-start version. Read it once you have created a few appraisals and want to understand every field, not just the required ones.
Creating an appraisal captures all the essential information about a property damage dispute case. This guide covers all the fields and options available.
