Subscription & Billing Management

Understand your AwardLettr subscription plan, manage billing, and learn what features require an active subscription.

Independent appraisers run a real business with real cash flow concerns. Slow seasons happen, hurricanes blow your pipeline up for six months and then go quiet, sometimes you take a personal leave. Software that only offers cancel-or-pay creates an awkward choice: pay for months you are not using, or cancel and lose your data and templates and have to rebuild from scratch when you come back.

AwardLettr supports pause and resume specifically so you do not have to make that choice. Your subscription billing also stays transparent: you can see your plan, your usage, your invoices, and your renewal date in one place without having to email support. The 14-day trial exists so you can prove the value with your own files before paying anything.

Read this article when you are evaluating plans, when you need to update payment info, or when you are about to head into a slow period and want to pause cleanly.

Free Trial

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to begin. You have full access to all platform features during the trial period.

Make the Most of Your Trial

During your trial, set up your business profile, upload your document templates, and run through a complete appraisal from intake to invoice. That is the best way to see how AwardLettr fits your workflow.

Managing Your Subscription

All subscription management is available under Settings → Billing. From there you can:

  • View your current plan and billing cycle
  • Update your payment method
  • Download past invoices
  • Upgrade or change your plan
  • Pause your subscription if you need a break
  • Cancel your subscription
  • Reactivate a paused or canceled subscription

Canceling Your Subscription

Access Continues Until Period Ends

When you cancel, you keep full access to AwardLettr until the end of your current billing period. Your data is not deleted immediately.

To cancel, go to Settings → Billing and click "Cancel Subscription." You will be walked through the cancellation flow. Your account and data remain intact after cancellation in case you decide to reactivate.

Pausing Your Subscription

If you need a temporary break (slow season, personal leave), you can pause instead of canceling. A paused subscription suspends billing without losing your settings or data. Resume at any time from Settings → Billing.

Features That Require an Active Subscription

Once your trial ends or your subscription lapses, the following features are gated until you reactivate:

  • Document generation (reports, award letters, invoices)
  • E-signature sending via SignWell
  • AI-enhanced report writing

Data Is Always Accessible

Even without an active subscription, you can still view and manage your appraisals, time entries, contacts, and previously generated documents. Only new document generation and AI features are gated.
