Calendar Reminders and Attendee Invites
Control how the calendar events AwardLettr creates remind you, and whether other people on the case get added to them.
When AwardLettr adds an inspection to your connected calendar, two separate things happen: you get a reminder, and (if you choose) the opposing appraiser and umpire get added to the event too. Both are controlled from the Calendar Events section under Settings → Scheduling.
Reminder Timing
Turn off "Add a reminder to calendar events" if you want AwardLettr-created events to carry no reminder at all. Leave it on and a "Remind Me" dropdown lets you pick how far ahead you want the heads-up: at the time of the event, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes before, 1, 2, or 4 hours before, or 1 day before.
These reminder settings follow your own profile. If you edit your own scheduling settings, they apply to events on your calendar. A staff member with permission to manage the owner's schedule and editing the owner's profile is setting the owner's reminders, not their own.
The Day-Before Email (Google Only)
"Also email me a day before" adds a second reminder, an email sent 24 hours ahead, on top of whichever popup reminder you picked above. This only works on Google Calendar. Outlook does not support email reminders on events, so the checkbox has no effect there.
Adding Other Participants
Below the reminder settings, "Add other participants to calendar events" controls whether anyone besides you gets added to the calendar event itself. Turn it on and the opposing appraiser (and the umpire, on umpire inspections) is added to the event, so the appointment lands on their own calendar too. Turn it off and the event stays private to you. Nobody else gets invited or notified.
This toggle is workspace-wide and lives on the workspace owner's scheduling profile, so it always reflects one decision for the whole team rather than something each staff member sets for themselves.
